Suitable to be used at:
– Close expansion joints with sealant such as concrete joint, glass joint, aluminum cladding and marble cladding.
– Acts as a bond breaker at the back of the seal preventing additional stress on the sealant during joint movement.
AXEL BACKER ROD 2005
AXEL BACKER ROD 2005 is a direct extrusion with high-grade expanded polyethylene material into closed cell structure. The process does not involve any (H)CFCs and is therefore an environmentally friendly product. AXEL BACKER ROD 2005 is available in different diameters (from 10 – 30mm) and lengths. It is used in construction and expansion joints to achieve the correct joint-dimensions and to prevent three-sided adhesion of the sealant.
